The Love Shack in Jasper area

The Love Shack is a perfectly appointed shipping container converted into 320 square feet of cozy living space. 37 secluded acres bordered by the Buffalo National River Park land just 2 miles from the Buffalo National River & 6 miles from the Pruitt access point. Hiking and historic homesteads, and of course, the beauty of the Buffalo National River nearby. Branson is 55 minutes North of us. Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventures or peace & tranquility, the Love Shack won’t disappoint.

The Love Shack is an 8’X40’ shipping container converted into 320 square feet of well appointed living space with an additional 400 square feet of covered deck, perfect to enjoy the sights and sounds of the surrounding forest.

Keep in mind-this is Newton County. When I say the dirt roads are rough, I’m not kidding. Jeeps, AWD, 4WD will have no issues at all. Small cars will most likely make it, but it is going to be rough. If it’s a rainy time of the year, expect mud, and lots of it in spots.

Inside, you will have everything needed to prepare a proper meal. Full size stainless steel sink, small refrigerator with freezer, hot plate, and an airfryer/toaster oven combination make meal prep a breeze. The grill on the deck has a prep table, side burner, cookware, and grilling utensils. Feel free to use the complimentary spices and seasoning as needed. Cleaning supplies are available as well.

The bathroom is perfect after a day of hiking or on the river with a full size shower, toilet with bidet, pedestal sink, toiletries, hair dryer, towels and wash cloths, as well as many commonly forgotten items.

With only 320 square feet of interior space, we committed most of the area to the necessities, but we did save just enough space for a small wall mounted smart TV and a seating area with two chairs, although we anticipate most guests will prefer the views from the deck over the TV. It’s just dreamy out there.

WiFi is not available at this cabin, but feel free to stream from your phone/hotspot to the TV.

This is Newton County. You may see deer, elk, turkeys, bobcats, snakes, or even a bear during your stay. Be mindful of nature, because you will be staying in the wilderness.

The shipping containers are treated for spiders and pests for your comfort. The best way to keep the outside out is to keep doors and windows closed. It’s advisable to use insect spray when hiking, stay on paths or clear areas where you can see where you’re stepping.

The Love Shack shipping container has been lovingly created with original artwork and plentiful amenities. We’ve maximized every inch to provide our guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay. If experiencing a shipping container is appealing to you, you’re in for a treat.

The entire tiny home is available to you as well as the grounds to explore. We just ask that you be respectful of any guests that may be staying in one of the other two rentals on the 37 acres.

We do have monitored security cameras on parking spaces as well as at both gated access points along the private drive.

We are a secluded property in rural Newton county. Our property line borders the Buffalo National River parkland. We are approximately 20 minutes from a restaurant or Dollar General store, and 13 of those minutes are the three miles traveled on gravel roads. Keep this in mind when preparing for your stay of groceries are needed.

The property is three miles off pavement. The roads area accessible by car normally, but during the rainy months, the roads are quite muddy and difficult to maneuver without AWD or 4WD.

Cancellation Policy: Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 60 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
